How Do I Purchase a Beef Share?

Follow this Link and place your deposit. Beef shares will be available from August through December in 2024.

What Cuts Will I Get?

Your beef will be processed to your liking. All cuts are available. Our beef shares are all cuts divided up evenly so you will get a taste of all cuts that you want. Before processing, the butcher will walk you through a "Cut Sheet" to determine how you would like your beef processed. Including steak thicknesses, package sizes, and any specific cuts that you would like to include or exclude.

What is a Carcass/Hanging Weight?

The carcass weight is what your purchase price, and processing price will be calculated based off of. This weight is typically 60% of the animals live weight. After cutting, removing bones, and trimming fat, you will  receive 50-55% of the carcass weight in packaged beef. For example, if an animal has a carcass weight of 800 lbs. you would get 400 lbs. of beef.

When Will My Beef Be Ready?

Once your beef is dropped off to the processor, it will Dry Age for 14 -21 days and then be processed. This process can take up to 3 weeks, before you receive your beef.

Is Delivery Available?

Customers are responsible for their beef pick up unless otherwise arranged. Delivery is available for an additional $75.

All processing is done at The Cut in Rosebush Michigan.

Sample Cost Calculation: (1/4 Beef)

2024 Prices: $3.50 / lb + Processing

  • Reservation Deposit
    • $300 (Non Refundable, Deducted From Your Total)
  • Remaining Beef Payment
    • 200 lb Hanging Weight x $3.50 = $700
    • $700 - 300 Reservation Deposit = $400
  • Processing Payment
    • $0.80 - $1.00 / lb (Depending on Cut Instructions)
    • 200 lb Hanging Weight x $1.00 = $200

Total 1/4 Beef Estimated Cost: $900
